So I just touched up all 5 phases, and things are starting to feel pretty fluent. That said, more ideas are already brewing so the site won't stay stagnant very long but I think chipping away for over a year with a lot of hours over the past few months deserves an initial launch... Here goes!! Going forward, I hope to expand to the concept of changing environments and how that may have a positive or negative impact on hard-earned good habits. Temporary living situations and non-routine lifestyles are an area I'm going to be learning a lot about over the next year so I look forward to pushing through that and doing a bit of trail blazing in the discovery of new ideas for approaching that situation. Fortunately I've met a lot of great professionals who are also athletes through OCR and hope to do more pooling of existing knowledge than true thought leadership.
So I've managed to pull together all 5 phases, and even read through them to make some tweaks for congruency, but it's nowhere near ready for public consumption. Probably would just leave people wondering what the hell I'm talking about and how I've managed to accomplish anything ever. BUT, the thoughts are all there, they just need to be organized and that requires a clear head. Being that today is my last day working at Empire Life and in two days I fly out to Atlanta to start training for a new career, I have a race in Toronto in the morning and an eerie message from the Spartan Race Athlete director in my email box, I think juggling thoughts between pages with the objective of optimizing clarity will have to wait.
I haven't officially launched the site yet, so hopefully no one sees this for a while. As of today, I only have 2 pages of content, the contact page and the blog page put together. That's pretty sad considering I've owned the URL for over a year and started refurbishing the site about 6 months ago. In any case, once the site is up and running, I hope to use this blog to track my thoughts publicly and hold myself accountable for the site's content. Use of the contact page is strongly encouraged and advised.
